Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, revealed that many people only discovered his father’s wealth after he had already released three hit songs. By then, he said, it was too late for public opinion to derail his momentum. “In the beginning, nobody really knew my dad was rich,” he said. “It helped because if they knew earlier, it might have been harder for me to be accepted.”

That’s just life.”
