Senator Ned Nwoko has finally addressed the controversy surrounding a viral video of his wife, actress Regina Daniels, which showed her in a state of distress. In his statement, the senator attributed her behavior to what he described as “drug-influenced” actions, alleging that substance abuse lies at the heart of their marital crisis.

In a lengthy Instagram post and accompanying video shared via his handle @princenednwoko on Sunday, Nwoko claimed that Regina’s struggle with drug and alcohol addiction has deeply affected her behavior and their relationship.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he stated.

According to Nwoko, the actress allegedly went on a violent outburst at their residence in his absence, attacking domestic staff and damaging several properties.

“She slapped and hit three staff members within 48 hours and destroyed cars and windows for no just cause. Now she has moved to a location where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he alleged.

Nwoko said he had presented Regina with two rehabilitation options  one in Asokoro and another in Jordan emphasizing that both would limit her access to harmful substances.

He also accused some of her close friends of worsening the situation, referring to them as her “drug suppliers.”

“While I took Moon to the hospital, chaos broke out at home, led by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” the senator claimed.

His comments came shortly after PUNCH Online shared footage of Regina Daniels in an emotional confrontation, where she could be heard saying:

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”

The viral video sparked widespread concern across social media. Reacting to the incident, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman (popularly known as Sammy West), accused Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister and vowed to protect her.

“Anywhere a man beats a woman, whether she’s my sister or not, I’ll fight with my blood,” he wrote on Instagram.

The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, as neither Regina Daniels nor her representatives have publicly responded to Nwoko’s claims.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko, who married in 2019, have long been subjects of public scrutiny due to their 40-year age difference. Their union has frequently drawn media attention, but this latest episode marks one of the most serious controversies yet surrounding the couple.
