Celebrity chef and multiple Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has celebrated her 30th birthday with a heartfelt message of gratitude and reflection, describing the milestone as the beginning of a new journey.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram on Saturday, Baci wrote:
“This is 30, and it feels like stepping into a brand-new book, not just another chapter. I carry every lesson, every tear, every win with me, but I walk forward lighter, stronger, and overflowing with gratitude to God. The woman I’ve prayed to be is the woman I’m becoming.”
Her birthday comes shortly after another historic achievement. On September 15, 2025, she set a new Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style Jollof rice. The massive pot weighed 8,000 kg (about 17,637 lbs) and attracted thousands of spectators in Lagos.
Guinness World Records has since confirmed the feat, further cementing her legacy as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s culinary scene. This latest recognition adds to her earlier world record in May 2023, when she cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes straight — the longest cooking marathon by an individual. That achievement catapulted her to global fame and widespread media attention.
Baci’s journey continues to spotlight Nigerian cuisine on the international stage while inspiring millions across Africa and beyond. As she enters her new decade, her reflection underscores the resilience, ambition, and gratitude that have shaped her remarkable career.
